Let’s face it; we all have a fear for something. Whether it’s the fear of sickness, fear of poverty, fear of quitting your unfulfilled job, fear of chasing your dreams, the list is endless. Can you remember a point in your life when you were so scared, that you started losing your mind? Yes it happens to all of us. It is usually described as False Evidence Appearing Real. Most of the time we over exaggerate the fears we have in our minds only to realise later that it’s actually not a life or death situation, that we are still alive and that we overcame that situation. I also remember in most cases in my life where I was so fearful of criticism from other people, that it led me not do the things that I actually wanted to do.
The truth about fear is that the devil uses it against us to fulfill his purposes for our lives, blocking the ways for God to give us a prosperous life. When fear overpowers you, then you have no control for your life anymore. You are letting the devil control your mind and your thoughts. Thoughts in which you tell yourself that you are not good enough for anything. It is perfectly normal to have fear or feel nervous/anxious, but when it comes to a point where you have no control over it, then it becomes a problem.

I myself too have fear within me, but why should we let it overrule our destiny? Why should we fear what people think of us when we should only judge ourselves upon God’s standards? Why do we have a fear for failure? Instead of reaching out for our dreams no matter what failures we may come across. This is a really deepening issue we should all think about, and it is one of the things in fact direct our path of life. We should accept fear in its existence, and then move forward regardless!
